About The Artist

Lisa Strieter has called Louisville, Kentucky her home for thirteen years.  Her oil paintings cover a variety of topics from landscape, still life, pet portraits and more.  Lisa's  favorite subject has come from the influence of women in hats seen every year in Louisville at the Kentucky Derby.  She loves to use her girlfriends as models.  Her paintings apeal to those who enjoy traditional and contemporary influences, elegance and aren't aftaid of color!  With a background in nursing, interior design and makeup artistry, it is no wonder Lisa enjoys painting figuratively and deliberately chooses a brilliant color palette. Lisa spends much of her time on private commissions through referral.  Her work can be seen at Mudpies Gallery in Louisville and various events throughout the year in the Kentuckiana area.  Lisa lives in Louisville with her husband Joel, daughter Rachel, and their dog Ginger.
